Great food, very friendly courteous service, typically Hungarian ?
A real surprise. The food was really great. After the first impression you shouldn't always leave. The staff was very friendly. If you go here try the cherry beer ... ?
Very nice inside table, but: Today you will get a drink for everybody, otherwise please order something to eat. Otherwise nothing with a drink. Well no more complaining about Corona as a restaurant! We won't be back
The shop is more reminiscent of a junk shop. The landlord seems annoyed and the waitress seemed intimidated. The price / performance ratio is absolutely not appropriate. 3.90 For a Coke from a can. The only good thing was the kitsch beer, it's super tasty ... once and never again
Unfortunately not a good shop. According to the landlord, the menu is only to be looked at, not to get an overview of the dishes. As a result, there was “nothing vegetarian at all”. After consulting the kitchen, there were still 2 vegetarian plates. However, we were not allowed to share it ? so we went hungry. In fact, I've never seen anything like it.
Unfortunately, the first impression was wrong - After the host had given us the recommendation of the day (everything was very meat-heavy, so far so good .. is normal for Hungarian cuisine, but we also had 3 vegetarians in the group and made sure beforehand that there was something on the menu for them) and snorting hard without a mask in pandemic times who brought us drinks (many simple things such as tea were probably "off", which is why we had to make compromises that were still very difficult to breathe in very close to his face) he replied When asked about the vegetarian dishes, "we don't serve" ... after a bit of discussion there were suddenly 2 vegetarian dishes in the kitchen, which is why 2 of the 3 vegetarian guests wanted to share one) whereupon he became angry with the host and said you couldn't share food with him, there is no such thing (he obviously wanted to force more expensive meat dishes). So we decided to go. Incidentally, he had charged the drinks more expensive than it was shown on the menu .. as has apparently already been the case with other reviewers .. Too bad ! The meat dishes didn't look bad at all, but obviously he was more interested in scaring off all the guests .. and that in a shop that obviously doesn't seem to be doing so well anyway .. hard to understand Definitely would not recommend it and would not support it.
We were there on the last Sunday at noon and also followed the recommendation of the host. 2x soup-1 × fish, 1x goulash plus 2 drinks € 32.00. The beautiful ambience is of no use.
The food was really delicious and the atmosphere in the courtyard was also nice, but !!!!! We just wanted a bite to eat and the landlord recommended food to us and we made the mistake of not asking for prices. The receipt was 37.20 euros. For a can of Pepsi 3.95 euros and for a soup 9.50 euros, I think that's very, very excessive. Let us be ripped off. And to top it all off, when asked how this sum comes about, he was also unfriendly. Never ever again
My wife and I visited Bautzen on our way to the Czech Republic. We got a good coffee and delicious pancakes in “Budapest”. We especially liked the really cozy atmosphere, we talked to the boss Stefan about God and the world ..... simply wonderful. We had made a reservation in another restaurant for dinner. Since it was completely overcrowded, we should wait outside until our seats would become free. So we decided to go to Stefan, a wise decision !!!! The food came freshly made and there was no reason to complain. We can only recommend Haus Budapest and will return there again on our next visit. Cordula & Uli from Potsdam
Cozy inner courtyard with an interesting ambience. MZ motorcycle fans will be delighted. But the price / performance ratio of our meals was rather unfavorable. The quality was average despite the host's recommendation.
The only Hungarian restaurant from Görlitz to Dresden. Delicious, fresh and original Hungarian dishes are prepared personally by the chef (himself a Hungarian) with all sorts of Hungarian anecdotes. In summer there are also many dishes (from fish to vegetables to steak) from the grill. The prices are more upscale gastronomy, but they are worth it. A little delicacy, the boss is a classic car enthusiast and collector, there is a lot to see.
Delicious Hungarian food. Friendly service.
the cherry beer and the Simson were the best. I wouldn't eat there anymore.
When we asked if he could recommend something typical Hungarian, we made a mess of dry meatballs and fries. 4 servings, plus a drink each .... € 75 ??? incredible, never again .....
Friendly, tasty, comfortably furnished. We will be back.
Very nice staff. Food tastes good small souvenirs in the restaurant, you can also buy them. We are happy to come back if we are nearby.
3.30pm we could order everything from the menu tasted great. Thanks to the friendly service
It was a culinary experience for me to eat dishes (I was there on two evenings) that I still know from OMA's times. Neither rude staff nor rip off. If you want to pay snack prices, you should also go to the snack bar. If it is too expensive for someone then it should go again and not constantly nagging everyone and everyone. Greetings from southern Sweden.
Super nice service and great service. The food I ate was very delicious. I always like to come back.
Unfortunately can not understand the bad reviews. Were very satisfied, food was delicious and fresh, big portion at reasonable price. Ambience is a matter of taste but we like it. It is very nostalgic, great route with DDR motorcycles. Host was very hospitable and accommodating. We will definitely be back.
